here are now less than four weeks left in the transfer window – and Tottenham are expected to still be busy over the next month.
Spurs have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Tanguy Ndombele in a club record move from Lyon, but the Lilywhites continue to be linked with a number of other players as well.
As such, there could still be several incomings and outgoings over the next few weeks. Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumors.
Giovani Lo Celso
Real Betis have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon for around €25m.
Fekir was set to join Liverpool last summer in a deal worth around £60m, but the Premier League side pulled out of the move after problems found during his medical.
The French star will sign a five-year contract in La Liga, according to Canal Plus, and will free up Giovani Lo Celso to make a move elsewhere, with Spurs strongly linked to the midfielder.
Tottenham are set to part ways with Danny Rose after it was revealed that the defender was not a part of their pre-season plans.
The big question has been where will Rose end up next?
The answer could well be Paris Saint-Germain, with the French giants reportedly eyeing up the England international.
Sky Sports have provided that report as the 29-year-old prepares to leave London.
Spurs are reportedly hoping to sign Roma captain Alessandro Florenzi this summer to replace Kieran Trippier.
The Premier League side will reportedly use existing negotiations surrounding the futures of Nicolo Zaniolo and Toby Alderweireld to try and introduce a move for the right-back.
The 28-year-old has four years remaining on his current deal after signing an extension last summer, but Calciomercato state that Florenzi could be open to a move after struggling in recent years in Serie A.
Spurs are also said to be keeping an eye on Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj – previously linked with Chelsea during Maurizio Sarri’s reign – and Shakhtar’s Ismaily.
Bruno Fernandes is one of the hottest transfer properties on the market at the moment after his impressive 2018/19 campaign for Sporting Lisbon.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with his services and have even made the attacking midfielder a priority as they bid to sign a midfielder.
Fernandes bagged 20 goals in the Portuguese league last season from midfield but it’s not just United who are reportedly ready to make an offer.
Tottenham are now battling United for his services and are willing to make a bid, according to A Bola.
It’s said that both United and Spurs are expected to make formal offers in the ‘coming hours’.
Barcelona are reportedly hoping to sign Real Betis left-back Junior Firpo, who has also been linked to Spurs recently.
With Danny Rose staying home from Spurs’ pre-season tour to seek a new club, Spurs could be short at left-back this season, and Firpo has been mentioned as a possible target.
However, Barca are looking for backup to Jordi Alba this summer, and have identified the Spanish Under-21 international Junior as an ideal choice.
The 22-year-old has a €50m release clause but according to the Standard, Barcelona will hope to get a deal done for around half that price. Betis are said to be holding out for €30m.
